New York City’s parents spoil their kids more than any other city in America, according to a Bundle.com infographic.
Bundle.com found that NYC parents spend the most on their children per household — almost double the national average per household. According to parenting.com, the average household spends $12,000 on food, baby expenses and other commodities like clothing and toys during a child’s first year. The money parents spend per year increases as the child gets older.
This isn’t much of a surprise, considering the city is home to a variety of toy stores, including toy paradise FAO Schwarz.
To find this figure, Bundle.com examined how much money was spent over the past three years per household at stores catered to babies, children and teens. Check out their findings:
