The grandfather of an Australian missing following the Barcelona terror attack on Thursday has turned to Facebook for help to find his grandson.
Tony Cadman says Julian Alessandro Cadman is missing in the Spanish city and his daughter-in-law Jom is serious but stable condition in hospital.
“Julian is 7 years old and was out with Jom when they were separated, due to the recent terrorist activity,” he wrote.
Julian is described as approximately 126cm tall and 30kg.
The ABC reports Julian’s father Andrew is on his way to Barcelona this evening to join the search for his son.
Jom and Julian were visiting Barcelona for a wedding.
Foreign minister Julie Bishop said earlier today that four Australians were hurt in the attack, including a woman in a serious condition in hospital, while one person is missing.
Spain police are still hunting for the driver of the van which killed at least 13 people and injured dozens more after it ran down the popular tourism street Las Ramblas in Barcelona on Thursday.
In a separate incident in Cambrils, another coastal city 100km south of Barcelona, police shot dead five suspected terrorists who’d driven into crowds there, injuring seven people.
