The star lawyer who helped defeat Proposition 8 reportedly charges an astronomical fee for his bankruptcy services.Ted Olson is charging $1,800 an hour for his work on a high-profile bankruptcy, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.
Olson served as solicitor general in the Reagan administration.
Recently, he came into the public eye again when he helped lead the legal team that overturned California’s anti-gay marriage measure Proposition 8.
The ex-solicitor general is lending his services in the bankruptcy of LightSquared Inc., a wireless networking company.
Valeo Partners, a consulting firm, told the Wall Street Journal that the fee was the higest-ever attorney’s fee revealed to the public.
