Steve Jobs just announced the “very aggressive” price of the 16-gig WiFi iPad: $499.

The 32-gig is $599, 64-gig is $699.

That’s a much lower price than we expected. It’s the biggest surprise of the event.

Steve Jobs said he wants to get the iPad in as many hands as possible.

It ships in 60 days as a WiFi device. 30 days later it will ship with 3G.

The 3G plans are with AT&T.

You can get 250 megabytes of data per month for $14.99 or an unlimited plan for $29.99.

Steve calls it, “Our most advanced technology in a magical, revolutionary device at an unbelievable price.”
