The HDMI adaptor for the iPad 2 will work with several other iDevices, giving you the option to pump full 1080p images to your TV.MacDailyNews found the adaptor’s description in Apple’s online store, which says it is compatible with the iPad 2, iPad, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch 4th Generation.

That’s great news for anyone who doesn’t plan on getting an iPad 2. The adaptor isn’t availble for order yet, but you can buy it from Apple here when the iPad 2 launches on March 11th.

UPDATE: A few caveats with the HDMI adaptor have been pointed out by our commenters:

Only the iPad 2 supports 1080p mirroring for apps. The iPad, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch 4th gen will only support 720p mirroring. All video will only display at 720p.
