Last month, we told you the Thompson family—of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” fame—were demanding TLC double their salaries for the hit show’s second season.And now, it is confirmed that former “Toddlers and Tiaras” star Alana Thompson and her Georgia-based family will receive a huge salary raise from TLC after the second episode.
“The increase gave them somewhere between $15,000 and $20,000 an episode,” reports TMZ.
At the beginning of the series, the family earned between $2,000 and $7,000 per episode, so the new pay bump is even more than the family requested for a second season.
TLC is reportedly even coughing up extra funds for a bodyguard/driver for Sugar Bear, who was injured after an ATV accident.
The network also reportedly offered to buy the Thompsons a larger home, but Mama June refused because she likes to entertain in her home for Christmas and wants to be there during the upcoming holidays.
And despite tons of Hollywood agents offering to represent the family, June has turned them all away because, according to TMZ, “she’s worried if she signs with an agent that person will talk her into making various appearances that will take her away from her family.”
Not that seven-year-old Alana would object to making an extra dollar …
