There are so many factors to consider, from real estate prices to job growth to educational opportunities.
Today those factors are deeply affected by the economy. For the first time in two decades, cities are growing faster than the suburbs thanks to rising gas prices and a demographic shift. And places like Pittsburgh and Detroit, once considered industrial boomtowns, are flagging.
But times change.
