Psych-rockers the Flaming Lips are doing something weird, even for them.
As we speak, the band is streaming online a song they made that’s 24 hours long, and they’ve been streaming it since midnight.
I wish I could tell you what it sounds like, but they capped the listening party at 999 people, so I’m still waiting to get in. If you’d like to wait with me, click here.
This is the weirdest thing the Flaming Lips have done since that album you had to play in unison on four different stereos.
The only other way to hear “24 Hour Skull,” or whatever it’s actually called? Buy one of the 13 physical copies. Only $5,000, and comes in this sweet skull to boot. That’s your Monday bargain.
If you manage to get in and catch a bit of the song, let us know what it’s like in the comments.
