20-three cars from 11 different brands were lauded for holding their value in the 2012 Best Retained Value Awards by Edmunds.com. The better a car retains its value, the less likely you are to be upside down in a car loan.
Honda was awarded as the top nonluxury brand for the second consecutive year, with a projected average retained value after five years of 47.9 per cent. Its sister company Acura received the award for the top luxury brand in 2012 with a projected retained value of 44.6 per cent.
Ford had the largest number of car models receiving awards (five), followed by Honda with four. Best Retained Value awards went to the following individual cars:
