You’ve gotta have wings and you’d better have booze if you’re throwing a Super Bowl party this weekend. And if you’re anything like the respondents to a recent Visa study conducted last weekend, you’ll be putting aside $118.80 to pull it all together.

The study found American’s budget for 2012 is identical to last year’s, though it’s down from 2010 when the average fan spent $144 to host a football shindig.

As expected, fans’ budgets differed by sex, age, location and income. Here’s a closer look at the survey’s stats:

  • Men expect to spend $123, compared to women who will spend $114
  • 18-24 years old fans plan to spend $122, compared to $117 for 25-34 year olds, $149 for 35-49 year olds and $96 for 50-64 year olds.
  • Northesterners (Giants and Patriot territory) plan to spend $119, while those in the Midwest plan to spend $116.
  • Southerners are putting aside $128 and the West Coast is saving $112 for the big game.
