In a change from years past, the Chevy Impala has thrown aside the “blah” styling it had for years and has become a rather attractive sedan.Sure, it’s still front-wheel drive and no, it doesn’t share anything other than a name with the iconic Impala coupes and convertibles of years gone by, but after ages of boring sheetmetal and fleet sales, your neighbours might actually envy you if you buy the Impala.
Designer John Cafaro described the car as being simple and elegant, and we tend to agree. The chiseled lines on the front and sweeping lines towards the rear look great.
The new car offers both V6 and four cylinder power, and will be able to get up to 35 miles per gallon on the highway on the eAssist model.
The 2014 Impala will be on sale in early 2013. The base price has not been announced, but expect it to be similar to the current car you don’t want to buy today.
