Hello! Here’s what’s happening on Tuesday.

1. North Korea and South Korea may have agreed to an inter-Korean summit. Kim Jong Un met with South Korea’s envoy on Monday, the first time officials from the South have met the North’s leader.

2. SpaceX launched its Falcon 9 rocket for the 50th time.The mission will fly a bus-sized satellite to an orbit 22,300 miles above Earth.

3.A former Russian spy is in hospital after being exposed to a mystery substance. The spy was granted asylum in Britain after being pardoned by Russia in a 2010 “spy swap” deal.

4. White House officials are trying to convince Trump to soften steel and aluminium tariffs.The world is bracing for a trade war after global leaders vowed to retaliate to Trump’s steep new tariffs.

5. Airbnb has removed listings and cancelled bookings in Beijing. The decision seems to coincide with China’s annual legislature which is underway in the heart of the city.

6. Pakistan may be warming up to Russia as ties with US chill.Pakistan’s defence minister said recent energy deals and military cooperation with Russia could be an “opening” for the two countries.

7. Turkey detained four ISIS suspects over a security threat at the US embassy. The embassy is closed for a second day on Tuesday, and personnel were told to keep a low profile.

8. More US tech companies are suing over the repeal of net neutrality. Etsy, Kickstarter, Automattic, Foursquare, and Shutterstock say they will be directly harmed when the repeal goes into effect.

9. Israel claimed it’s allowed to use Saudi Arabia’s airspace, despite the two having no diplomatic relations. Air India, the airline hoping to fly through the airspace, has denied the reports. If true, it would mark a shift in policy that has defined the region for decades.

10. The US air force is preparing for a war in space. The force’s 2019 budget underscores the “tremendous emphasis” on efforts in space.
