Automakers say that pickups and SUVs usually experience increased sales come fall. And in September that showed, according to sales data from Cars.com.Big trucks, like the Chevy Silverado, dominate the top five on this list.

Also, it’s working nothing that American car makers should be smiling. GM saw sales increase 19.6%, Chrysler up 27.2%. Ford lagged behind them but still showed significant growth at 8.9%.
