In an interview with Stephen A. Smith on ESPN, Terrell Owens declared that he would be ready to return to the NFL “soon.”
But the interview was quite bizarre.
When it began, Owens announced that he wanted “to call it quits.” But almost immediately after, he admits he’s not retiring, and he was just playing a prank.
Owens went on to say he’d be back soon, in a month or less.
Owens confirmed an earlier report that he had traveled to South Korea to have stem-cell therapy on his knee. He says he was trying to “accelerate the healing process.” Owens adds that the knee “is doing great,” and that it is “probably 75 per cent” right now.
