Since the failed merger with AT&T, T-Mobile hasn’t been doing so hot.
Part of the reason, as company executives readily admit, is because the carrier doesn’t offer the iPhone. That has caused customers to leave the network for one where the iPhone is available.
T-Mobile is trying to fix the problem by expanding its network to work on the same spectrum as the 3G iPhone. (Unlocked iPhones can run on T-Mobile, but only at 2G speeds.)
