Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane motorists pay Transurban almost $2 billion in tolls

Transurban’s revenue from road toll revenue increased by 10.6% to $2.15 billion last financial year.

Most of that, $1.94 billion, was collected from motorists in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The rest was from the US.

Overall average daily traffic grew by 4.0%.

Statutory net profit excluding significant items increased 34.3% to $239 million.

Profit from ordinary activities after tax increased 850% to $209 million from $22 million last year when Transurban bought the Airportlink M7 toll road in Brisbane.

However, in early trade, Transurban shares were down 2.4% to $11.645
