INDIANAPOLIS — If you’re trying to find the thousands of media members who’ve descended on Indy this week, just walk toward the absurdly large Super Bowl trophy in the sky. That’s the JW Marriott — the official media headquarters of Super Bowl week, and perhaps the ugliest thing in the entire city.
Massive facades of various football players are plastered around town, but this is by far the gaudiest.

The place was jammed with media people, fans, and corporate types.
Since this particular week leading up to the Super Bowl has been really slow, people were basically milling around rather than working.
There was even a stand where a guy was selling $7 Bud Lights a few steps from the media “work room.”
