Stocks Are Sinking On This Quiet Afternoon

Stocks are going deeper into the red on a relatively quiet day for news in the U.S.  However, Italy’s borrowing costs, which are soaring to new records, certainly have global markets worried about a deepening eurozone debt crisis and ultimately contagion.As usual, financial stocks are getting hit.  Morgan Stanley and Bank of America are each down by more than 2%.
