Steven Spielberg was slapped with a $250 fine by Sardinian authorities after he drove his speedboat too close to the shore and breached maritime regulations, according to The Daily Mail.
The billionaire film director had been vacationing on his $318 million megayacht Seven Seas with actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her two kids near the Sardinian town of La Maddelena when the incident occurred.
Beachgoers, angry about the noise coming from the tender, reportedly called the police.
Spielberg apologized and a fax verifying his payment of the $250 fine arrived at the coastguards’ headquarters the next day.
