The UAE is certainly a hotbed for some of the most amazing automotive finds in the world.
Last week we brought you three amazing supercars that were parked in Dubai as if they were nothing special. Now, our tipster in the UAE has come back with something else from the UAE that is exotic for completely different reasons.
This Mercedes W128, which is actually the shell on top of a bespoke chassis, was spotted outside the entrance to the Emirates National Auto Museum in Abu Dhabi. The museum contains the amazing car collection of Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, also know as “The Rainbow Sheikh.”
He has an unbelievable assortment of cars that also includes seven Mercedes S-Classes in different colours (in each colour of the rainbow, hence his nickname) and the largest truck in the world. In addition to his collection of automobilia, he has also carved his name in the sands of the UAE so large that it could be seen from space.
We are of the belief that this is the ultimate way to get across the dunes or just to the store.
Have you spotted a rare or unusual car/plane/train/boat/industry person in your travels? Did you take a photo? Do you like sharing?
If you answered yes to these questions, please send the picture to [email protected] along with where you spotted it to be considered for our Photo of the Day.
