SPORTS CHART OF THE DAY: The Seven Highest-Paid All-Stars Starters Are In The American League

The American League and National League starters for the 2012 All-Star game have been announced. And while the game will decide home-field advantage in the World Series, the AL may have a distinct advantage on the field.

Of the 18 starters, the seven highest-paid players will be playing for the AL, lead by Prince Fielder who is making $23.0 million this season. At the other end of the spectrum, Buster Posey is making just $615,000 this season.

In total, the AL starters will make $129.7 million this season, while the NL starters will make just $61.3 million combined. Here’s the full breakdown…
