This weekend, the Spanish Parliament reversed a 2010 ban on advertising by Spanish prostitutes and brothels “‘because of the recession,” according to local media.Prior to the ban, the sex industry spent €40 million annually on classified advertising.
Despite its passage in Parliament, it is expected the People’s Party, the leading party in Spain, will eventually try to outlaw the advertising of prostitution.
