A photo released by South Korea’s Blue House hints at the mood in the room as South Korean President Moon Jae-in and his cabinet met on Thursday for an emergency midnight session to discuss news that US President Donald Trump abruptly canceled a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The move was most likely a major blow to Moon, who has been working to reestablish ties between the two Koreas. He held a summit with Kim last month, and the two agreed to work toward officially ending the Korean War.

Moon visited Trump earlier this week to prepare him for the talks, and South Korean officials had said the meeting was likely to happen as planned.

Trump may not have notified South Korea before making his decision, which is likely to affect relations between South Korea and North Korea moving forward.
