stock is at a 25 year low, after posting loss after loss after loss.
It has lost its mojo as Apple, Microsoft, and Google define the future of consumer electronics.
Things are bleak, to say the least.
So, we were curious to see what Sony would do to fix itself and get back on the right path.
We hoped the PlayStation maker would have wowed us with game changing products at this year’s E3 gaming conference. Instead we got a boring mix of irrelevant products.
It focused on an exclusive partnership with HTC, interactive games for kids, a few exclusive titles, and mobile gameplay.
Maybe this wasn’t the right place for Sony to throw its hail mary pass, but time is running out. If it’s going to do something, it needs to start soon.
E3 was Sony’s chance to tell the world that they were still alive and kicking and innovating like the Apple’s and Microsoft’s of the world, but they fell short.

Sony has now amassed plenty of popular characters from high-selling titles so it has decided to produce an All-Stars Battle Royale game similar to Nintendo's popular Super Smash Bros. franchise. All-Stars will be available for PS3 and PS Vita with cross-play support.
Sony also heavily focused on the PS Vita at this year's conference.
The PlayStation Vita has only sold 1.8 million PS Vitas worldwide since the handheld was launched in December in Japan and February in North America. That is compared to 65 million PlayStation 3's in the world and 13 million PlayStation Moves controllers sold.
AP says, 'Sony unveiled plans for a second-screen function for the Vita that keeps it in step with Nintendo's new tablet-controller-equipped console, Wii U.
'Sony also plans to bolster the Vita's use with PlayStation 3 consoles by making use of its front and back touch screens and giving different players different perspectives in the same game. New game 'PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale' allows PS Vita players to fight PlayStation 3 players over the Internet in real time.'
New titles like Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation, Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified and a lineup of more than 60 titles that will all be available before the end of the year.
