Skype released an iPad app and then pulled it from the App Store, saying it wasn’t ready, AllThingsD’s Ina Fried writes. That’s weird.

Maybe they suddenly found a terrible bug. Or maybe they found out something in the app store terms of service. Or maybe they just wanted to do a big launch hoopla (in which case–congratulations).

A spokesman said the app would be re-released soon.
