This is ridiculous.Embattled Bank of America is still experiencing technical glitches with its website.
Visitors to the site on Wednesday were greeted with a message saying, “Most of our site is working normally, but you may experience occasional delays.”
The site has either been running slowly or customers haven’t been able to access their online accounts during the last six days.
This is making the already beleaguered bank’s customers even more frustrated.
The problem started happening on Friday, following the banks announcement to implement a $5 monthly fee for its debit card holders.
The bank said that’s not why the site is experiencing difficulties.
Still, thousands of customers are already petitioning the bank.
From ABC News:
Molly Katchpole launched a petition against Bank of America, which was signed by more than 131,000 customers and counting, saying she would take her business elsewhere unless the company drops its plan to charge $5 for debit card purchases. She wants her message to ring loud and clear, especially to other banks.
The bank also said the site problems are not a result of hacking either.
The Department of Homeland defence has advised financial companies to be extra vigilant to a looming cyber-security threat posed by “hacktivist” group Anonymous, who’s currently marching alongside the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators, the Post reported.
