Shares in FBR soared after the company announced that its one-armed robot bricklayer had, during a test drive, built a house in under three days.
At the close, they were up 27% to $0.21.
FBR announced that the commercial version of its robot bricklayer, Hadrian X, had constructed a 180 square metre, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in less than three days.
“What we have achieved here is a quantum leap for the construction industry,” says CEO Mike Pivac.
“We are excited by the performance and results, given this work was completed in test speed and for the very first time.”
