The 10 rarest and most expensive cars coming up for auction in Melbourne

A rare 1975 Ford Falcon XB Coupe raced by two-time Bathurst winning driver John Goss is up for auction at Shannon’s Melbourne Winter Classic car auction on July 16.

It has a price estimate of up to $480,000.

As well as a stack of rare classic, muscle and race cars available at the auction, there’s also racing memorabilia, such as vintage petrol pumps, a framed painting of racing driver Mark Skaife’s HSV Mobil 1 race car signed by the artist, Garry Fascano, and framed shirts from the F1 team from the Adelaide GP 1989-91, 1992, and 1993 up for grabs.

Also available are several Victorian numerical numberplates like “826”, “99-993”, and “572”.
