Seriously, The Shanghai Composite Looks Sick

There have been all kinds of theories about how the Shanghai Composite is a leading indicator for US markets, or perhaps a determiner of US Treasury rates, but predictive value aside, the index is looking very bad.

It’s had two trading days so far this year, and both have gone lower, even as global markets have (mostly) started off on a positive note.

And as you can see, in this chart via Bloomberg, the selling has just been relentless for months now.
