Samsung has plans to launch a new tablet this fall running Microsoft’s Windows RT operating system, Bloomberg reports. It’s not a huge surprise as Samsung manufactured many of the prototype Windows 8 tablets Microsoft has used to demo Windows 8 over the last several months.

Windows RT is a stripped down version of Windows 8 designed specifically for tablets powered by ARM processors. ARM processors are the same ones used in most Android tablets and the iPad.

Microsoft is planning its own Windows RT tablet for launch this fall called the Surface.
