The horrible jobs numbers and rising unemployment rate are just the beginning.This is also the month that the
Next Tuesday is the recall election in Wisconsin, where Republican hero and public sector union-buster, Scott Walker looks set to hold onto his seat, and build on his mandate for reform.
On June 12, the Congressional seat of Democratic heroine Gabbie Giffords is up for grabs.
And on that same day Arkansas is having its own runoff-election for two other House seats.
And then the big one. At the end of the month the Supreme Court will issue two enormously important rulings.
First is Obamacare. The court could strike down the entire law, or just the individual obligation to buy health insurance. This ruling should have a dramatic effect on the election. It could nullify discredit Obama’s signature accomplishment. Or, if the law is upheld, it will deeply undermine Republican critics of Obamacare/
The Court will also rule on Arizona’s immigration laws. That could have an enormous impact on immigration laws in all border states.
Both parties have a lot at stake. And each of these events will be interpreted as a change of momentum.
