Media companies still struggle to harness the power of the digital, and experts are still debating on how to approach the issue, let alone resolve it.
Digital media visionaries Ross Levinsohn (former Yahoo CEO) and Jon Miller (former AOL CEO) talked about why companies are not even close to understanding the digital media conundrum at our IGNITION conference last week.
“There is not a great enough appreciation, I think, in Silicon Valley for how hard it is to create great content, and, conversely, there is not a great enough appreciation in Hollywood [and New York] for how hard it is to create great technology,” said Levinsohn. “When the two of these things come together, it’s the most powerful thing that exists in our whole ecosystem.”
