Politico’s Mike Allen tweets that Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign raised more than $100 million last month, shattering fundraising expectations and likely beating President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.

Allen’s full story is now up on the Politico site. According to his report, which cites a “GOP official,” the Romney campaign’s June fundraising total includes donations to the campaign, the Republican National Committee, and the Romney Victory fund, a joint fundraising effort by the campaign and the RNC.
Allen reports that Romney exceeded his fundraising goals across the country, including in Ohio, Colorado, Michigan, and New Jersey.
The Wall Street Journal also has the story, confirmed by “people familiar with the presidential candidate’s [Romney’s] finances.
