Marcus Mariota was welcomed to the NFL with a mispronunciation of his last name.
Selected by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 2 pick in the draft, Roger Goodell announced the pick and called him “Marcus Marioto.”

This happens occasionally — sometimes players have tough names to pronounce. Mariota isn’t really one of them. Most of the remaining first-round prospect names seem pretty safe, although Goodell could have trouble with Cedric Ogbuehi.
