Rasmussen Employment Index Drops Four Percentage Points

In a sign upcoming employment reports may be weaker, Rasmussen’s Employment Index for March dipped four percentage points to 83.5%, the survey group reports.February’s 87.5% had been a three-year high for the index.

20-two per cent of firms surveyed reported they were hiring, a one percentage point drop from February, according to the firm.

The Index measures workers’ perceptions of the labour market and is reported each month.
