SPORTS CHART OF THE DAY: Randy Moss Retires With Some Of The Best Numbers In NFL History

Randy Moss has announced his retirement after a career that often made news as much for his antics and his mouth as it did for his amazing playing on the field.

Moss’ career ended with 954 catches and 14,858 yards leaving him just shy of two milestones that he would have easily reached with one more season. With 46 more catches, he would have become just the eighth player with 1,000 and with 142 more yards, he would have been just the fourth player with 15,000.

But Moss’ biggest number maybe in the NFL’s most important stat: touchdowns. Moss finished with 154 touchdowns, which is fifth all-time. And his 153 career touchdowns receiving is tied with Terrell Owens and second only to Jerry Rice’s 197.
