Attention Horse Racing Fans: The Next Triple Crown Threat Is Almost Here

Rachel Alexandra, the 2009 Horse of the Year, and Curlin a two-time winner of the award, have successfully bred.  Alexandra’s foal is expected early next year.Alexandra, who won the 2009 Preakness Stakes, retired in September after an impressive career.

Curlin’s first foal, Zophie, was born last January but was euthanized just weeks later after a paddock accident.

Owner Jess Jackson believes the baby could become a “superhorse.”
