An enormous palace likely owned by Vladimir Putin was just sold for $350 million, according to Ria Novosti (via Curbed). The Black Sea palace is said to have cost one billion dollars to build. It was secretly owned by the prime minister, according to the Russia’s Wikileaks. But again, Putin denies that he owned the home, as does Ponomarenko.

It was purchased by billionaire Alexander Ponomarenko, a shipping magnate, who plans to turn the 8 million square foot mansion into a hotel.

Putin’s old friend and likely front man, Nikolai Shamalov, was the seller.
