St. Louis Cardinals star Albert Pujols criticised MLB for the awkward 4 p.m. start time of yesterday’s NLDS game against the Phillies.
“I just don’t understand why we’re playing a 4 o’clock game when the league knows that we have tough shadows out there,” he told the AP.
“We’ve been talking (about the shadows) all year long, and there’s nothing you can do about it. Maybe if we were the New York Yankees maybe we would have played an 8 o’clock game today.”
offence was hard to come by yesterday, and the Cardinals lost 3-2.
St. Louis faces elimination tonight. The game starts at the slightly more convenient 5 p.m. central time.
“They’re making their money and they’re paying their money, and I guess they put the game time however they wanted to,” he said.
