Rapper Kanye West made quite a stir today when he showed up at the Occupy Wall Street headquarters at Zuccotti Park in Manhattan’s Financial District.A swarm of people quickly gathered around West who arrived with hip-hop music mogul Russell Simmons.

Not everyone was pleased with West turning out for the demonstration.

“Some people aways think that their name gets them a seat a table,” one of the demonstrators who had been there since day 2 told us.

“He’s nobody to me,” he added saying he’s clearly there for the media attention. “He should’ve been her day one!”

Simmons on the other hand has made frequent appearances and shown his support for the movement since the beginning.

“I’m here everyday. We need to take the money out of politics. It’s as simple as that,” Simmons told Business Insider.
