Quick heads up: There are three fairly significant events in the US today.First at 8:30: Initial claims. If the economy is going to break down again, we’re going to see it here fairly early. Last week saw a rise from the previous week. Another week like that will be not good.
Then at 10:00 AM Bernanke speaks. This is huge for obvious reasons, especially with the QE drums now banging louder.
And as Calculated Risk notes, at 3 PM ET, we get consumer credit, which is always a fascinating and telling report.
All three are can’t miss reports in our book.
