Wall Street forecasts today’s big number will top last month’s dismal 120,000 reading, with the economy gaining 160,000 new jobs. But the Street isn’t always the best predictor, so Business Insider tracked its own model and went to Twitter to see what everyone else had to say.

The BI house model forecasts payroll gains of 146,000, below the Street’s consensus.

And Twitter is even more bearish than that!

We just went through all of the Twitter-based predictions using the hashtags #NFPGuesses and #NFPGuess. There were a total of 70 guesses as of post time, and the median consensus is 141K.
