The Grand Resort and Convention centre in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, is not happy about topping TripAdvisor’s recent list of the Dirtiest Hotels in America.Kenneth Seaton, the owner of the hotel is now suing the ratings website for $10 million in compensatory and punitive damages, according to the Mountain Press (via HotelChatter).

Explains the Mountain Press:

In the lawsuit, Seaton’s attorneys, John Rogers and Sidney Gilreath, seem to argue the ranking is because the site uses “a rating system which is flawed and inconsistent and distorts actual performance and perspective.” It also suggests some sort of ill intent in the list’s compilation.

87% of reviewers on the website said they would not recommend the hotel to others, and some of the 283 reviews on the site say things like “the grand roach hotel” and “dirtiest place on earth.”
