Pierre Cardin outs a fashionable tablet computer

While tablet computers are being slaughtered mercilessly by Apple’s iPad which basically re-invented this category ; none of its competitors can claim to be better on any of the fronts that the iPad competes on. Until now that is.

Pierre Cardin has just come up with a tablet computer which focuses on *gasp* being fashionable as its USP!

For those who do not think that the Pierre Cardin brand name is enough to buy one of these beauties, the technical details are as follows – a 7.0-inch capacitive touchscreen (800×480), built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, a front-facing 1.3 mega-pixel camera, its own exclusive carry case.

The insides of the tablet consist of a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, a mere 512MBs of RAM, (up to) 4GBs of data storage, and an un-optimised version of Google’s Android operating system (version 2.2/Froyo). For Android lovers, this by itself is reason enough to buy a Pierre Cardin.

The best part is easily the 275 pound price tag which roughly translates into $450 USD. A brilliant move by Cardin to keep prices to affordable levels.
