Apple is constructing a mysterious building for its Apple Watch event this month

It looks like Apple is constructing a special building for its next major press event on March 9. The event will likely focus on the Apple Watch, which the company teases by saying “spring forward” in the event invitation.

Blog 9to5Mac received images of a while building under construction behind the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, which is where the main press conference will take place. A tipster told 9to5Mac that guards wearing shirts labelled “Apple Security” were patrolling the property.

This seems similar to what Apple did when it launched the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September. Photos of the demo hall Apple built for the event had leaked out before the unveiling.

Apple already told us about the Apple Watch’s features in September, but the company will likely tell us more information about pricing and availability this month.

We expect to know more when Apple holds its event on March 9.
