A Bulgarian Hurdler Named 'Vania Stambolova' Stumbled Over A Hurdle And Finished Last

Bulgarian hurdler Vania Stambolova was favoured to advance to the semifinals in the women’s 400-meter hurdles before a terrible mishap on the first hurdle Sunday.

Stambolova hit the hurdle and couldn’t recover, finishing in last due to a “Did Not Finish.”

It lead to a few unfortunate English language headlines.
