Philip Rivers has had some pretty bad days in his NFL career.
He once threw for just 164 yards in an 11-10 defeat to Pittsburgh. He had a dreadful two interception, zero touchdown playoff performance in a loss to New England. Pretty bad, right?
Then came Monday night. And, the “Phumble.”
Rivers had his team in position to win despite throwing two interceptions and zero touchdowns. But in the waning moments of regulation and on the Chiefs’ 15-yard line, Rivers mishandled the snap and fumbled away the football. Kansas City went on to win in overtime.
It was a bad night for the Chargers quarterback. Or, in the words of Rivers:
The. Worst. Day. Ever.
