Personal Income and Spending Both Decline in June (But Beat Consensus)

Consumer spending and income both declined from May but beat consensus. Personal income rose 0.1% in June against a -0.1% consensus, down from 1.8% in May. Spending, meanwhile, rose 0.6%, slightly beating the 0.5% mean estimate, but down from 0.8% the month prior.
