Tim Pawlenty’s presidential campaign raised $4.2 million dollars in the second quarter, The Washington Post reported this afternoon.Pawlenty’s struggling campaign has been plagued by money troubles, with several top aides working with little or no pay.
His total is only slightly greater than Jon Huntman’s, who announced his candidacy two weeks ago and raised $4.1 million — including about $2 million of his own money.
Pawlenty faces a tough and expensive fight against Michele Bachmann in Iowa — a state he must win in order to win the nomination.
