UPDATE:Joe Paterno will be out at head coach within days or weeks, according to the New York Times.
The NYT report hit the web 10 minutes after the cancellation.
Penn State president Graham Spanier cancelled Joe Paterno’s weekly press conference less than an hour before it was supposed to begin.
Ganim says that Spanier did it “without conferring with the coach.”
Tom Rinaldi of ESPN reported that JoePa was planning to issue a statement and then answer questions about the child-molestation scandal.
That’s when the president shut it down, Rinaldi said.
It will not be rescheduled.
This is a shocker.
The press conference was highly anticipated.
But alas, he won’t be answer any questions.
